Traffic
Immediate Action — Starting Day One
West Palm Beach deserves relief from traffic — and they deserve it now. That’s why we are implementing a three-phase plan to move West Palm Beach forward.
Phase 1:
Traffic Task Force
A dedicated team will be deployed to major congestion points during peak hours to actively wave traffic through intersections — keeping vehicles moving instead of letting drivers sit through light cycle after light cycle.
This is about urgency.
People cannot wait years for relief.
Phase 2:
Smarter Bridge & Train Coordination
I will meet with the United States Coast Guard and the Town of Palm Beach to request fewer bridge openings during rush hours.
We will also work directly with rail operators to adjust train schedules and minimize disruptions during high-volume commute times.
Getting to work and school on time is a priority — not a luxury.
Phase 3:
Modernizing Infrastructure Flow
We will evaluate traffic light timing across major corridors and synchronize signals to align with current traffic patterns, while utilizing smart signal timing and coordinated corridors to improve traffic flow.
We will also assess where roads can be widened, improve intersection performance, and identify opportunities to better connect existing corridors as traffic volumes increase. By evaluating new infrastructure opportunities and smarter roadway design, we can move more vehicles through our road network efficiently—putting more cars on the road with less congestion and keeping West Palm Beach moving.
My Commitment
Make it easier to get to school and work
Require real, enforceable traffic and infrastructure solutions before approving major developments
Prioritize road improvements and smart traffic flow systems
Align growth with infrastructure capacity
Protect neighborhoods from being overwhelmed
Work with construction crews to implement traffic management plans for each construction site, ensuring road work and development projects are less disruptive to our day-to-day.
